Stefano Zucca
Board Member
Stefano is an experienced architectural professional with a strong background in sustainable design and project management. As a Board Member of Grove Community Housing Association, Stefano actively contributes to the organisation’s mission of providing quality homes and services to the North Belfast community, with a focus on developing the largest Passivhaus Social Housing residential project in Northern Ireland.
In his role as Job Captain at Dykeman Architects since 2016, Stefano has led architectural projects across residential, educational, and mixed-use sectors. He specialises in BIM workflows, sustainability strategies, and ensuring high-quality, efficient project delivery. Notable achievements include leading a £16M - 202-unit mixed-use development, implementing sustainable principles to achieve energy efficiency benchmarks and enhance community well-being and supporting construction detailing and administration for a £24.5M LEED Platinum Net Zero housing project. Stefano has previously worked as a Senior Designer at Callison-RTKL and an Architectural Designer at Tonkin Architecture, where he honed his skills in leadership, teamwork, and design management. He is highly skilled in tools including Revit, AutoCAD, 3D visualisation tools and collaboration software such as Bluebeam Revu, and is a Certified Passive House Designer, a Construction LCA Specialist and holds LEED AP BD+C credential.
His educational background includes a Master's in Sustainability and Design from the University of East London, where he focused on energy-efficient design and the use of tools such as PHPP and LEED ND. Stefano is passionate about creating socially equitable, sustainable environments and continues to lead projects that balance community value with budget efficiency. He is currently seeking to become a registered Architect both in the USA and UK.
Outside of work, Stefano enjoys walking and connecting with nature. He is also an avid indoor climber and, during his time in the US, enjoyed the unique experience of being a honeybee keeper. Stefano also has a deep interest in youth development, having volunteered in cross community youth projects in 1998 in Strangford, Co. Down and still enjoys the friendships established then.
