Grove Housing Association Phase 1 The new build programme of 58 lifetime homes which went on site in November 1999, with 38 homes already built and occupied, is due to complete the remaining 20 houses by July 2002. Except for a few minor teething troubles those tenants in occupation are generally very happy and satisfied that (as they put it) their “Dreams have come true”.
We anticipate that 54 houses in total will be built by T A Kernoghan. The drawings have already been submitted as part of a formal package to the Planning Service seeking full planning permission and we would hope that the on site timing would be summer 2002. This scheme will provide 13 social dwellings, 14 fixed price homes for owner occupation to be allocated to residents from the redevelopment area and a further 39 dwellings some of which will be for owner occupiers to be sold at market value. former petrol station at York Road, for which site acquisition is
being progressed we hope will provide another 17 family dwellings
for those in our clearance area and we hope this will follow quickly
on the heels of the private development. |
