At the time Grove Housing Association was established in 1976 people were leaving this area of North Belfast due to the poor housing and environmental conditions. Since then the Association has worked successfully to improve these conditions through renovating old dwellings and building new ones.

The Association is registered with the Department for Social Development (Registration No. R14) has charitable status and is registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act (NI) Registration No. IP000173.

The overall control and supervision of the work of the Association is provided by the Board of Management. Members of the Board of Management serve in a voluntary capacity and are not remunerated for their services. They bring a range of skills and experience to the Association and share a common commitment to improving housing conditions for all Grove tenants.
